Special Seminar: Human Rights of Older Persons
Dr. Chitra Massey, Chief of Section, Rights of Older Persons, The UN Office of the High-Commissioner for Human Rights, will discuss the developments, trends, achievements, and challenges in the human rights of older persons. In particular, she will talk about the newly established Inter-Governmental Working Group, which is drafting a new convention on the rights of older persons. Dr. Raymond Andaya from Hiroshima University and Prof. Ai Kihara-Hunt from the University of Tokyo will join the panel discussion. This event is open to the public with prior registration. Priority may be given to UTokyo students if seats are full. Further details will be sent via email to the registrars.
