Dr. Chitra Massey, Chief of Section, Rights of Older Persons, The UN Office of the High-Commissioner for Human Rights, will discuss the developments, trends, achievements, and challenges in the human rights of older persons. In particular, she will talk about the newly established Inter-Governmental Working Group, which is drafting a new convention on the rights of older persons. Dr. Raymond Andaya from Hiroshima University and Prof. Ai Kihara-Hunt from the University of Tokyo will join the panel discussion. This event is open to the public with prior registration.
