HSP Seminar: Special Seminar by the UN SRSG on Sexual Violence in Conflict (Ms Pramila Patten)
The United Nations Special Representative of the Secretary-General on Sexual Violence in Conflict, Ms. Pramila Patten, will discuss her mandate, recent trends of sexual violence in armed conflict, progress and challenges in the protection, promotion, and advancement of human rights in relation to sexual violence in armed conflict. Three particular focus areas of her work are the promotion of accountability for sexual violence in armed conflict, empowering national responses centering around survivors’ rights, and addressing underlying factors contributing to conflict-related sexual violence.
This event is open to the public by prior registration only. Please note that, should the event reach full capacity, priority may be given to students of the University of Tokyo. Further details will be communicated via email to registered participants.
